This beautiful five-acre park is the centerpiece of historic Olde Gahanna. Best known for its lovely waterfall, the park invites visitors to stroll the walkways, enjoy a nostalgic picnic, take a paddle boat ride, fish, or wade in the delightful water of the meandering Big Walnut Creek.

Step back in time and experience life in the 1800s at the serene setting of the Gahanna Historical Society Settlement. Perched along the bank of the Big Walnut Creek, this historic destination invites visitors to rediscover the past through events, tours and demonstrations in the 1840s Log House, 1860s John Clark House, 1900s Lily Stone Bed & Breakfast, Goosefoot Garden and the newly-designated National Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. Gahanna Lincoln High School Veterans Memorial

The Gahanna Lincoln High School Veterans Memorial titled, “To Serve and To Honor," is unique not only in size, but in scope. The visionary memorial compels minds and hearts to honor those who have served and have paid the ultimate sacrifice. The memorial, designed by students, consists of engraved granite columns. A plaza with engraved pavers and benches is also part of the memorial, making the site an inspiration for all.

This black granite monolith, topped by an eternal flame, is surrounded by inscribed bricks, which honor our loved ones who have faithfully served in the armed forces.


Gahanna Woods State Nature Preserve

Founded in 1973, Gahanna Woods State Nature Preserve is a successful effort to save one of the last remaining large stands of woods in central Ohio. The preserve is both a nature lover and bird watcher’s dream, with rare species of vegetation, including some of Ohio’s most exceptional wildflowers, and rarely-seen wildlife. Consisting of more than 50 acres, the preserve offers plenty of scenic hiking trails and areas for picnicking.
  


Geroux Herb Gardens

Take a respite from the chaotic pace of life at this delightful park filled with herbs and botanical delights. Stroll through a variety of herbal gardens within the Geroux Herb Gardens, namely, the Culinary Garden, Scented Garden, Shade Garden, Rock/Biblical Garden, Pond Garden and Medicinal Garden.

The preservation and history of Gahanna is most apparent in the area known as Olde Gahanna. Brick sidewalks line the charming downtown streets of this 19th century rural village. Gahanna brings to life historic destinations such as the John Clark House, the Log House, the Lily Stone Bed & Breakfast, a restored schoolhouse and two historical churches. Aside from history, visitors can find the, collectibles, home accessories, hand-crafted items, eateries, and more throughout this delightfully restored historic area of Gahanna. Located in the “Herb Capital of Ohio,” this brilliant attraction features everything herbal and is a perfect destination, be it herb enthusiast or not! Housed in an original brick farmhouse, dating back to the early 1800s, this charming facility offers an herb resource library, a gift shop, and classes on the culinary, medicinal, and aromatic uses of herbs. Open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Weekends by appointment.
