Paddleboats, Herbal Cocktail Trail & Culinary Paradise

Ohio's Herb Capital Offers so Much More than Gardens

creeksideFUNIn many ways, Gahanna, Ohio is a hidden gem.

Located just a 10-minute-drive from the John Glenn Columbus Airport, Downtown Columbus, and Easton Town Center ... visitors are often surprised to discover a city with 775 acres of parks, a veritable culinary paradise (filled with signature restaurants and tastes), the Creekside District and organic farms and ecological refuges. Just one visit and it's easy to see why Gahanna was named one of Ohio Magazine’s Best Hometowns.

One of Gahanna's most popular gems is the Creekside District. Here, the Big Walnut Creek borders the Creekside Plaza entertainment district AND Creekside Park--with it's waterfalls, trails, fishing and wading opportunities. More than a dozen restaurants call the Creekside District home, many with breathtaking views and waterfront dining. The District is home to many events including the annual Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, Creekside Live Summer Concert Series and Creepside (the City's annual Halloween celebration).

Named the "Herb Capital of Ohio" in 1972, the city embraces this status with engaging experiences like the Herbal Cocktail Trail (featuring herb-infused cocktails created by 7 signature Gahanna restaurants/distilleries).  Visit the Ohio Herb Center to shop for unique treasures or take a class. Sample herb inspired treats at many local businesses like Pam's Market Popcorn, Buckeye Candy Company and Mrs. Turbo's Cookies. more. Relax and indulge in an herbal massage at Thrive Massage & Wellness. Shop for local treasures at the Sullivan's Woodwork.

What to see

Shopaholics take note:  Gahanna is just a stone's throw from Easton Towne Center -- the "Rodeo Drive of the Midwest," and a nationally renowned outdoor shopping complex. Anchored by Nordstrom and Macy’s, the upscale Easton Town Center boasts more than 200 specialty stores, restaurants and entertainment options. An entire day could be spent strolling through the mall’s many offerings, including Ohio’s only American Girl® store.

Our free services include helping you find the best venue, assisting with securing your hotel room block for guests and providing you with a list of great speakers/ musicians/ vendors. Our unique group experiences ALONE are worth a call! We've created VIP group experiences that you can ONLY participate in by working with us. For example: Enjoy a farm-to-table meal at a private organic farm OR tour the top rated universally designed home in the nation.

Get an entertaining history lesson at one of Gahanna’s historical treasures. The Gahanna Historical Society Settlement is home to a 1840s log house, the 1860s John Clark House and a National Certified Wildlife Habitat.

Other Gahanna exclusive experiences? Visit Central Ohio's oldest winery. (Taste vintages during a tasting at Wyandotte Winery or go on a free tour to see how the award-winning vino is made.) Walk the Meditation Trails or Labyrinth at Shepherd's Corner Ecology Center. Savor craft libations at Kindredor Nostalgia Brewing.  Take a combination tour of Noble Cut Distillery and Simple Times Mixers to learn to craft the perfect cocktails.

Consider taking advantage of Gahanna’s close proximity to other major Columbus attractions, such as COSI science center, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, the Columbus Museum of Art, Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and the Ohio History Center and neighboring Ohio Village.
